Dolphins 2025 mock draft: How Miami could reshape its offensive line

The Miami Dolphins not making the playoffs means mock draft season is upon us. While it’s very early and plenty will change before April, it’s still a fun exercise to experiment and tinker with predictions.

The full order of the first round won’t be finalized until after Super Bowl LIX in February. And compensatory picks won’t be announced for another month or so after that. So even though the Dolphins are projected to own 10 picks in the 2025 NFL draft, it’s still a hypothetical at this point.

On Tuesday, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier said the team has to invest in the offensive line this offseason. With that in mind, here’s how Miami could accomplish that in April:

Round 1, No. 13 overall: Kelvin Banks, OT, Texas

Banks is a potential top 10 pick, but with plenty of players jockeying for top spots, he could easily slide down to No. 13 overall for the Dolphins. He has the length and the frame and can anchor well against NFL pass-rushers. His run-blocking ability is very appealing for Miami as well. He is agile and can get out to the next level, and has the power to win at the line of scrimmage.

Should Miami land a player like Banks, they could slide Austin Jackson inside to a guard role, which he once played. Banks could play the right side while 2024 second-round pick Patrick Paul could take over for veteran left tackle Terron Armstead, should he not return to the Dolphins.

With Banks and Jackson added up front, the Dolphins’ offensive line could actually be set. That duo of rookies could join center Aaron Brewer along with Paul and Austin Jackson to create a formidable five in South Florida.

The Dolphins have struggled to play a power style of football in recent years. These two top 50 picks can change that, especially with Jackson in the middle. He has the flexibility to play either side and has top-tier athleticism to pull and get to the next level. A smart, physical, and versatile guard would be a steal here in the second round for Miami.
