Corey Taylor: announces a devastating news

COREY TAYLOR Is Feeling His Age On Stage With SLIPKNOT

“It’s hard. But there are ways to do shows that don’t require being that crazy now.”

Over the course of their two-plus decades as a band Slipknot has played almost everywhere, touring like madmen. Recently percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan, said the band might start to slow down, for the sake of their own longevity, opinion that was also echoed by front-man Corey Taylor. Now, in a recent interview with Rock Feed, Taylor have explained more in detail about what he envisions for his future with the band, and his possible retirement from touring.

Taylor shared that the years of touring have left him in “constant pain” and that his body is beginning to feel the effects: “It’s the knees, it’s my feet. I have a broken toe on this foot. I have gout across my feet. It gets up into my joints and shit. It’s tough. I’m not as nimble as I used to be. I’m not 35 anymore. It’s hard. But there are ways to do shows that don’t require being that crazy now.”

However, Taylor is not ready to retire from Slipknot just yet. He said that he still loves the band and the music, and that he is not ready to give it up. Though, he would like to find a way to continue with Slipknot without having to tour as much: “I’ve already said that physically I maybe have five years left. But at the same time, I go out of my way to really try to take care of myself. Now, I have a lot of fucking miles on me — it’s hard for me.”

“There’s still a handful of things that I wanna do and that I’m looking to try and do, and I’m being proactive to do them. But once I run out of ideas, I’ll just be like, ‘Alright, it’s time to find my favorite chair and gain some weight,’ that’ll be what I do.” he added.

He will undoubtedly decide on his future when the time is right, that much is certain. Although Taylor‘s future with Slipknot is uncertain, one thing is for sure: the guy is a legend in the metal world, and the music he has created with the band will continue to be enjoyed by fans for many years to come.
