Bristol Rovers coach has been susppended

Bristol Rovers verdict: Gas continues to aim upward following a stalemate with Rotherham, but the foundations have been placed

Everything to discuss following Bristol Rovers’ 0-0 draw against early promotion contenders away United Rotherham

Although it wasn’t pretty, Bristol Rovers managed to escape South Yorkshire on Saturday afternoon with a result that definitely qualifies as a “good point,” as they managed to hold on for a goalless draw against Rotherham United.

Although Steve Evans, the manager of Millers, exaggerated a bit after the game when he said it was the best point in the team’s history, it is undeniable that his team outplayed Rovers for significant portions of the game and should have won.

But just like they did the previous Saturday against Northampton Town, this revamped Gas team was proud of their defense and worked hard to preserve the clean sheet. Josh Griffiths, their goalkeeper, was also responsible for a few outstanding saves.

But in the end, Griffiths needed to make five stops altogether since Rotherham missed fifteen shots. Certain moments were unlucky, like when Christ Tiehi struck the post’s base, while other times lacked poise.

Having said that, a large red circle may be formed around the final third of the pitch, which is still in need of improvement even though one region of the field has significantly improved in the first few weeks of the current campaign.

Even though they have four points so far and played well for the most of their cup loss to Cardiff City in midweek, they haven’t had many opportunities in these three games, which emphasizes how much work still needs to be done.
