Unexpected annoucement regarding Angel Reese defeat against the Sky’s

WNBA fans hailed Angel Reese as a “double-double machine” despite Sky’s defeat to Mercury.

For Angel Reese, it was another game, another double-double.

The rookie forward for the Chicago Sky did what she does best in less than three quarters, finishing with 19 points and 20 rebounds on Sunday night as the team lost 86-68 to the Phoenix Mercury. It’s Reese’s first game of her career with 20 rebounders and her third straight double-double since the Olympic break.

At the beginning of the game, Reese had trouble finding her touch, but in the second half, she was able to improve her effectiveness. She made 8 of 16 field goals, her first field goal percentage of at least 50 since July 7 against the Seattle Storm. Her plus-minus at the end of the game was -20.

Social Twitter users applauded Reese for going about his business as normal and recording another double-double in the game on Sunday:
Reese still needs to work on a few things, but she has shown herself to be a reliable supplier of points and rebounds. Given the volume of the offensive play she makes, her efficiency needs to increase.

Reese nevertheless provides the Sky with a solid base upon which to grow as they pursue their first WNBA championship since 2021.
