After the Pittsburgh Steelers’ disheartening loss to the Buffalo Bills, it seems that the quarterback has earned the anger of the team’s supporters.

Even though it’s early, it’s safe to say that the Steelers quarterback hasn’t yet displayed the kind of play that won him a Super Bowl, and the supporters aren’t having it. In fact, after yet another underwhelming preseason performance, many made their feelings quite evident.

The Steelers hired veteran quarterback Russell Wilson to a one-year contract during the offseason in the midst of Pittsburgh’s rebuilding process, hoping the 35-year-old would regain the form that won him the Vince Lombardi trophy with the Seattle Seahawks a few years ago. Regretfully for the team, Wilson has

failed to accomplish that thus far, and that was clear on Saturday when he had another poor performance with the Steelers, losing 9-3 to the Buffalo Bills.

Overall, Wilson completed 8 of 10 passes for a meager 47 yards, and the Bills’ reliable defense sacked him three times. It goes without saying that Wilson’s performance received some negative post-game feedback from supporters on social media. It should be noted, though, that Wilson’s career is still young, and it is realistic to think that he will get better with time.
