Oyo State is the birthplace of Lere Paimo, who was born in Ogbomosho, Nigeria, in September 1939. He is well-known for his extraordinary abilities and has appeared in over 500 films, demonstrating his skill as a playwright, actor, singer, comic, and instructor. He also takes great pride in being the father of ten kids.
His outstanding roles in “Asaworo Ide” and “Omo Orukun” have made a lasting impression. Lere Paimo, an eminent Yoruba actor, is eighty years old and has been performing for almost forty years. He has a strong bond with his native country of Ogbomosho, Oyo State, which is located in Southwest Nigeria.
Respected for his farming skills, Lere Paimo’s father farmed yams and tobacco and led the local farmers organization. In contrast, his mother chose to become a trader.
Beginning his career as a performer at a young age, Lere Paimo completed his elementary schooling in Ogbomosho. He is fortunate to lead a happy family life with two spouses and several kids.
Two of Lere Paimo’s gifted children, who have dedicated their lives to music, are twins who have made their mark as film soundtrack composers. Lere Paimo’s religious views have been misunderstood by some, who believe he is a member of a cult or has strong roots in traditional religion. The actor has made it clear that he does not practice herbalism or any other kind of fetishism, nor is he a member of any cult. These false impressions are unfounded because Lere Paimo is dedicated to his work and doesn’t partake in any activities outside of it.
