EFFECTS AND CONSEQUENCES OF CIVILIZATION AND MODERNIZATION ON STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE

In this post, I will discuss some of the concepts underlying the effects and repercussions of civilization and modernization on academic achievement in pupils.

To begin, civilization can be defined as the highest evolved level of human, social, and cultural development and organisation. The process of adapting anything to modern demands or habits is also known as modernization.

INTRODUCTION

Nobody can deny that modernization has had an impact on different aspects of people’s life. Education, communication, and even social connections have all undergone significant changes. Adolescents, on the other hand, are the most vulnerable to the negative impacts of modernity. Modernization has significantly altered adaptive models, and social relations have paved the path for abnormality. What’s more, teenagers prefer electronic entertainment and online learning, which both contribute to their isolation.

1. FAST OR QUICK ASSIMILATION: The process of absorbing and thoroughly comprehending information or concepts. This can assist pupils learn what is taught in school more quickly, because when a person is modernised, he or she looks for the quickest and easiest way to understand what is taught, because modernisation is all about manipulating to something faster.

2. ADAPTATION TECHNICAL GADGETS: This applies to students who will be required to work on computers during Computer lessons for practical and other educational themes, and they will be able to handle it properly and effortlessly.

2. IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO INCREASE THE RATE OF CYBER CRIME IN THE SOCIETY: This may increase the number of cyber crimes, commonly known as ‘YAHOO’ slang. Which provides students with quick and cheap money, causing pupils to reconsider going to school.

Conclusion

In the preceding article, I discussed the effects of modernization and civilization on students’ academic performance and the consequences. While modernization provides opportunities for students to achieve great academic achievement, it also has drawbacks, some of which are discussed in the article. These drawbacks include exposure of students to illegal content on the internet, with social media being the best example of where students are exposed to sexual conquest.
