The Nigeria Police have detained Azeez Adeshina Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, in connection with an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the murder of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Aloba, nicknamed Mohbad. Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has reacted to the arrest.
In a statement on Tuesday night, Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police command’s spokesman, acknowledged the situation.
He wrote, “Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities”
Reacting to the news, Iyabo Ojo took to her social media to shares a screenshot of spokesman for the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin and caption it with

Recall that the Naira Marley had earlier announced his return to Nigeria to assist in the ongoing probe of the death of his former signee, MohBad.
The singer revealed in a tweet on Tuesday, adding that he would also be meeting with the Police.
“I’d like to share that I’ve just arrived back in Lagos, Nigeria to assist the authorities with the ongoing investigation. It’s important I do my part for Imole,”
“I’ll be meeting with the police with hopes for the truth to be uncovered and for justice to prevail.”
