Although, it is not in every case that a person born into royalty automatically assumes the role of king or queen, their role is still important regardless.

Today, we take a look at some popular Nigerian celebrities who have managed to thrive in other aspects of life, despite being born into a family that affords that power and the privileges of life. Some of these individuals have ridden on the back of their privilege as royals to find their own feet, while some of them simply just got out there and made a name for themselves.

The singer has a blood relation with veteran Yoruba actor, Jide Kosoko. The Jore crooner is also from the Kosoko royal family in Lagos.

Gbemi O

The veteran radio personality becomes famous after she joined the popular Lagos-based radio station, Beat 99.9FM. Gbemi is from the popular Olagbegi royal family of the ancient town of Owo, Ondo state.

King Sunny Ade

Famous singer King Sunny Ade is one of Nigeria’s most celebrated musicians. But unknown to some, the entertainer is actually from royal blood on both sides of his family. His mother is from the Adesida royal family in Akure, while his father is from an Ondo royal family. He was born to a Nigerian royal family in Ondo, earning him the royal title of an ‘Omoba’ of the Yoruba people.

The town of Otun Ekiti has five rulling families and Odunlade Adekola’s family is one of those five rulling families. But the actor is yet to affirmed his interest in becoming the king of the town.

She was born and raised in Akure in Ondo state but she is originally from Ijero in Ekiti state. Adebimpe Omo Oba is the last child in a family of 5, she attended Hatchet college and Omolere school for her secondary education.

Adebimpe Omo Oba also studied English at the Ekiti state university. She is a multi talented actress and she is well known for her exciting roles in movies. Adebimpe Oyebade started her career as a model, she also worked with top brands, she started her acting career in 2016. When she got her first role in the movie Cross Roads produced by Yemi Fabiyi, the Sam movie brought her into the Limelight. She has stared in over 60 movies since then. This veteran whose real name is Adewale Adeoye is a veteran Yoruba actor known for his comic roles. Elesho was born in January 10 in Ikirun Osun state. 64 years ago he Celebrated his 30 years on stage 2014. He started acting when he was in primary school and he also work for different companies after then, before he decided to make acting his career.

He began acting professionally over 34 years ago. He grow up in Oke-Ara which is under Ile Ife, he had a very wonderful childhood his father was a Baale of the village, today that same village has a king instead of Baale and their king is called King Alaara Of Oke Ara.
