Meet 29-year-old ‘baby’ who can’t grow due to rare medical condition [Video]

A 29-year-old man is being referred to as a baby-man because he has a rare illness which prevented him from growing.

He known as Pingping, has a medical condition called Progeria also known as Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome (HGPS).

A video which has gone viral on social media shows Pingping being treated as a toddler even though he is old enough to have started his own family.

His condition which is also called the ‘Benjamin Button’ disease has left netizens speechless over the wonders on earth.

Children with progeria appear healthy at birth, but begin to show signs of fast aging within the first two years of life. Most die by the age of 13 or 14, but some live into their early twenties.

The most common cause of mortality is heart disease, which can also be caused by stroke.

According to Google, the unofficial name for Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS) or progeria is Benjamin Button syndrome.

The rare genetic illness affects one in every four million kids and causes them to age rapidly because their cells consume a protein called progerin, which is released by a genetic defect.
