Pastors will go deaf and mute because of their prayers – Odumeje calls out Nigerian pastors praying for Israel

Controversial Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje, an Anambra-based preacher, has sparked a new round of controversy with his recent proclamation, pledging to deafen and silence any pastor who prays for Israel in the middle of the continuing crisis between Israel and Palestine.

Tensions in the Middle East erupted a few weeks ago when Israel battled with the Gaza Strip following an attack on Israeli cities by the Palestinian group Hamas.

The crisis has sparked international concern and a flood of prayers from religious communities all across the world.

Prophet Odumeje expressed his harsh condemnation of pastors who have been praying for Israel in a video that has since gone popular on social media, implying that they may not fully appreciate the complexities of the issue.

He further accused these pastors of failing to pray for Nigeria’s ongoing challenges, citing the country’s myriad domestic issues.

Prophet Odumeje went so far as to threaten any pastor who prays for Israel, calling their prayers a misplaced priority in light of Nigeria’s own challenges.

It is worth noting that certain notable religious personalities, such as Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, have previously declared support for Israel.
