Early Life
Portable Omolalomi was born in the historic city of Abeokuta on March 12th, 1994. He was given the name Habeeb Okikiola a week after his birth. He was born to the Yoruba family of Mr. and Mrs. Okikiola in Ogun State, southwest Nigeria.

Portable Omolalomi and his brothers were reared in Abeokuta city by their parents, who shared their father and mother’s Muslim beliefs. Portable Omolalomi grew up in Abeokuta, therefore he was well-versed in Yoruba from an early age, since it was the language he used to interact with his parents, school and neighborhood acquaintances, and extended family members.

He was influenced by rap music by American singers such as Dr. Dre, Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G., and Snoop Dogg, which he listened to on his father’s audio cassette player while still in elementary school. He adored these musicians and began writing rap songs anytime he felt inspired.

However, the emergence of indigenous rap singers such as Lord Of Ajasa, Dagrin, Danny Young, Olamide, QDot, and CDQ inspired him to transition to Yoruba rap and pursue a career as a musician.

Career
Recognizing that he would have a greater chance of flourishing in the business if he lived in the heart of it, Portable Omolalomi relocated to Lagos State, Africa’s music capital.

While in Lagos, Portable Omolalomi looked for producers with whom he might collaborate, since he was always writing new rap songs. To pay his bills, he continued to work as an artisan on the mainland of Lagos from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Portable Omolalomi remained undaunted in his pursuit of being an A-list artist in the business, despite the fact that he had recorded a few of songs that fared poorly financially.
