BBC NEWS: reporter confirms Birmingham City in talks for £23m-rated midfielder

Birmingham City and Fulham Carabao Cup matchups have agreed to a £1 million QPR move.

A QPR star is reportedly joining Birmingham City as they get ready to play Fulham on Tuesday night.
A deal is rumored to have been reached between Birmingham City and QPR prior to Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup matchup with Fulham. The Midlands team has accumulated seven points out of a possible nine and is still undefeated in their debut season back in League One.

As they attempt to rejoin the Championship at the first opportunity, Blues have made some impressive acquisitions. With Friday night’s transfer deadline drawing near, they will soon complete their tenth summer acquisition. Birmingham and QPR forward Lyndon Dykes have reportedly agreed to a £1 million deal for Dykes.

The 28-year-old was not included in QPR’s lineup for their Saturday draw against Plymouth Argyle, and Marti Cifuentes was questioned about the forward’s status at the end of the window. All he could say in response was “I don’t know.”

Dykes left Livingston for QPR in 2020 for a reported £2 million, and in 155 league games, he scored 35 goals. The 28-year-old, 36-time Australia international now appears destined to return to League One, albeit it’s no secret that Birmingham is offering extremely competitive money in their quest to make a comeback to the lower division.
