Bristol City have added Luke McNally to their expanding Irish contingent, signing the former St Patrick’s Athletic defender from Burnley on a four-year contract.
And the Meath-born centre-back has expressed his delight at joining club captain Jason Knight, goalkeeper Max O’Leary, Mark Sykes, Sinclair Armstrong, and another ex-Saint, Adam Murphy, at Ashton Gate.

McNally, who has signed for an undisclosed sum, stated: “I am extremely excited and fortunate to be at a team like Bristol City.

“I am thrilled to get started, and seeing the training ground and meeting everyone has been fantastic.
“I wanted to join for the project, and the manager has been successful, and I can tell he is genuinely doing something here.
“There seems to be a good buzz around the club at the minute and hopefully I can help with that.”
McNally, who had played for Drogheda United, made his first transfer to England in 2021, joining Oxford United.
