Welcome to this late-Spring edition of Eclectic Discoveries (No. 14) here at Goldmine, where I invite you into a curated sonic Show & Tell. The music reviewed in this May 2024, 14th edition of Eclectic Discoveries, is a most impressive grouping of musical finds, music which I have become privy to over the previous weeks and months,

throughout last year, and beyond. If your musical libido consists of exploring and sampling various genres and styles of music (as I so passionately do), or even if you are a bit more ‘snobby’ with the choices in your personal musical

scope, my goal is to share an ‘eclectic’ grouping of music finds that are ‘new-to-me’ (sometimes newer releases,

sometimes older), in hopes there is something in this edition of Eclectic Discoveries, that you will want to discover along with me.

It’s amazing to observe the enormous resurgence of legendary recording artists, who are enjoying a major surge in contemporary visibility and notoriety together with a new generation of listeners and fans. When it comes to this resurrection of a classic age, no genre gets overlooked. Furthermore, this phenomenon is not limited to touring or publicity (television, music publications, etc.); rather, it is frequently manifested through remastered and reissued albums. Even better, these historical recording industry entities are consistently releasing brand-new recordings into the musical ether, to the near-constant amazement of their fans.
