Lamar Jackson wasn’t interested in social media celebrations Sunday after the Ravens secured their first win of the season following an 0-2 start.
As Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey posted an Instagram Live video aboard the team’s private plane after a 28-25 victory over the Cowboys, the two-time MVP quarterback told his teammate it’s time to lock in heading into Week 4.
“Lamar, talk to us a little bit about getting that first down, you know the flock, they gotta hear from you,” Humphrey said in the video, which appeared on
“We got the dub. Keep stacking. You shouldn’t even be live right now,” Jackson said from his seat while pointing his finger in Humphrey’s direction.
Humphrey replied, “Yes sir,” before complimenting Jackson’s jewelry.
“You got a lot of drip on low key,” Humphrey said.
The pair went on to share a handshake and some friendly banter before the video cut off.
Prior to the game, Humphrey had the internet buzzing with his pregame outfit: a cowboy hat and boots paired with a belt buckle and bolo tie.
Ravens running back Derrick Henry also channeled his inner cowboy when he stepped out wearing a bolo tie and a hat before the game.
Henry ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns in his best outing for the Ravens — and he was Tom Brady’s pick for the Fox analyst’s Week 3 LFG Player of the Game.
Jackson went 12-of-15 for 182 yards and added 87 yards rushing against the Cowboys, who rallied late in a failed comeback attempt.
The Ravens last started 0-2 in 2015, three years before selecting Jackson 32nd overall in the 2018 NFL Draft.
“Every game is a big game for us because we’re trying to get somewhere,” Jackson said. “We’ve got to win these games to get to the playoffs, and we need to get to the Super Bowl. But it starts with the game that’s in front of us.”
