Barnsley player Callum Styles is being pursued by West Brom; Burnley and Sheffield United are also considering a January transfer.
According to TEAMtalk, West Brom is vying for Callum Styles, a 23-year-old midfielder from Barnsley, and a move could be planned for him in January.
On November 12, the newspaper announced on their website that Burnley and Sheffield United of the Premier League are pursuing the Hungarian international because to his great appeal both domestically and internationally.
On the continent the Bundesliga’s Union Berlin, Ligue 1’s Lens, Belgian giants Anderlecht and Portuguese Champions League side Braga are also all on the “versatile” option’s case.
Styles is reportedly set to go to the Euros with Hungary next summer and already has 16 international caps, despite currently operating in League One at Oakwell.
After three seasons in the second tier with Barnsley he spent time on loan with Championship side Millwall before returning to his parent club in the third division this term.
As with any transfer battle at the moment there are a lot of moving parts when it comes to the chances West Brom might stand.
A chance in the Premier League, or even the Champions League, is going to be tough to compete with if the Baggies make an approach this winter, but the club must think there is an outside chance if they remain in the picture despite heavy competition.
Corberan has continued to impress on meagre resources at The Hawthorns this season, notwithstanding a close 2-1 defeat to relegated Southampton on Saturday (11 November).
That sends the Albion into the international break on a downer, but has the club sitting seventh in the table, so if Styles is minded to step up one rung back to the division he is most used to West Brom is certainly a decent option still.
