Podcaster Alex Cooper of “Call Her Daddy” is relocating to SiriusXM in a transaction allegedly valued at $125 million.
The creator of the Unwell Network and host of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Alex Cooper, is bringing her multimillion-dollar audio empire to SiriusXM. Beginning in 2025, she will premiere “extensive exclusive content” on SiriusXM, the audio entertainment firm said on Tuesday.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that the podcaster’s multi-year contract is valued at $125 million.
Cooper, who co-created “Call Her Daddy” with Sofia Franklyn, announced in a press release that she is looking forward to the next phase of her career with SiriusXM and hinted at future plans her team has for her “Daddy Gang.” SiriusXM will become the new home for “Call Her Daddy” as well as a number of other Unwell Network series, such as “Hot Mess With Alix Earle,” “Pretty Lonesome With Madeline Argy,” “Boyfriend Material With Harry Jowsey,” and “In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele.”
Cooper started “Call Her Daddy” with Barstool Sports, but in 2021, the media business let Cooper go to join Spotify in a rumored $60 million contract. With the help of Spotify, Cooper increased the popularity and reach of her podcast and established herself as a go-to source for celebrities who have appeared on “Call Her Daddy,” such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Miley Cyrus, Post Malone, Jane Fonda, and Janelle Monáe.
SiriusXM is now the new home for Cooper and her Unwell Network broadcasts, but the partnership isn’t exclusive—Spotify and other streaming services will also air Cooper’s programming.
Cooper’s “fearless, unfiltered approach” was praised by SiriusXM President and Chief Content Officer Scott Greenstein in the statement on Tuesday.
