Sad news: Ozzy Osbourne announce that he will not play again due to

A spine injury forces Ozzy Osbourne to postpone their 2023 European tour.

On January 26, 2020, in Los Angeles, Osbourne arrives at the Staples Center for the 62nd annual Grammy Awards.

Legendary hard rocker Ozzy Osbourne has stated that his tour dates in the United Kingdom and continental Europe in 2023 will be canceled.

Early on Wednesday, Osbourne released a statement stating that he will not be able to tour due to injury to his spine sustained in an accident four years ago.

“Although I know I couldn’t handle the travel required, I’m not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates,” Osbourne stated. “I am honestly humbled by the way you’ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time,” Osbourne said.

The Grammy Award winner, 74, who was once the lead singer for the metal band Black Sabbath, claimed that “my singing voice is fine,” but that despite three surgeries, stem cell treatments, physical therapy, and a hybrid assistive limb treatment—which uses a robotic exoskeleton to help improve movement and balance—he was still weak physically.

In addition to fellow metal pioneers Judas Priest, he expressed gratitude to his family, fans, band, and crew.

Osbourne remarked, “I never would have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way.” “At the moment, my team is brainstorming locations where I can perform without having to travel across cities and nations.”

According to the announcement, ticket refunds will be offered at the time of purchase.

Osbourne had previously canceled his 2019 tour dates in North America and Europe owing to health issues, citing a “bad fall” in which he claimed to have broken many vertebrae in his neck.

Following his departure from Black Sabbath, the singer found fame on his own. In 2020, he revealed that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, a neurological ailment that impairs movement.

In 2006, Osbourne was admitted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame together with the other three members of Black Sabbath. “The Osbournes,” a reality show featuring Osbourne and his family, which included his wife Sharon and two of his three daughters, was a hit.
