Today, September 21, 2023, the police at Ikorodu in Lagos State exhumed the body of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad.
Remember that the Lagos State police command revealed a few days ago that they had not yet exhumed Mohbad’s body because they were awaiting the completion of paperwork with the state ministry of health, which would be necessary for the inquiry.
After the exhumation, the deceased Mohbad’s remains were sent to the hospital, where an autopsy will begin right away.
Mohbad died on September 12 in controversial circumstances. He was buried the next day, September 13.
Nigerians demanded that an autopsy be carried following the startling revelations of him being harassed and assaulted while he was alive.
The Lagos state police command on Monday, September 19, set up a 13-man committee to carry out a detailed investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise.
The committee is expected to turn in its report in two weeks.
