“You people should leave me alone, I’m not perfect and I will continue to speak my truth” Iyabo Ojo reacts to backlash over her support for Mohbad

Iyabo Ojo, a Nollywood actress and businesswoman, has responded to the criticism she has been receiving for her love and support of the late musician Mohbad.

According to Gossipinfo, the actress and her colleague Tonto Dikeh have been at the forefront of the struggle for the late singer’s justice, earning them a number of critiques, particularly with the recording of their funeral preparations.

Iyabo wrote on her Instagram page that she isn’t flawless, has never claimed to be, has never promised to be, and that just being herself is more than enough for her.

The two-parent single mother adamantly stated that she would keep speaking her truth regardless of the picture they paint of her and the abuse she encounters.

According to her, she would rather die a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who speaks & fights for justice.

She added that she wants a better Nigeria and a safe environment for her children and that duty starts from her and the public.

“I’m not perfect………. Never said I was, never said I would. Just being me is more than perfect for me,
I will continue to speak my truth no matter the narrative they draw about me, no matter the hate, the witch hunt……..I would rather die a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who speaks & fights for justice, bcos death at the end is inevitable, I want a better Nigeria and a safe environment for our dear children & that duty starts from you and me, we can’t all be silence……… The Queen Mother with her black bonnet”.
